Two Niagara Falls schools locked down Friday while police seek armed suspect

Police search for male suspect in Niagara Falls

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on Friday March 8, 2019, 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers were called to the area of Dunn Street and Dorchester Road in the City of Niagara Falls following reports of a possible armed male in the area.
 
While officers searched the area, two schools were temporarily placed in a Hold and Secure to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Detectives with 2 District Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are continuing to investigate this matter in an attempt to locate the male.

The male is described as approximately 6'0", with a thin build, wearing all black clothing.
