Two more arrests made in St. Catharines nightclub shooting investigation

Detectives from the 1 District St. Catharines Criminal Investigative Branch continue to investigate the shooting incident that occurred in downtown St. Catharines on Sept. 29, 2019 that resulted in six persons being shot.

On the morning of April 2, 2020, with the assistance of the Hamilton Police Emergency Response Unit, the Niagara Regional Police Service executed a search warrant at a Stoney Creek residence and arrested two people in connection to this shooting investigation.

Thirty-year-old Jayson Hypolite of Stoney Creek is facing the following alleged charges:
    •    Obstruct peace officer contrary S. 129(a);
    •    Accessory after the fact contrary S. 436(b).

Twenty-nine-year-old Rhiannon Blackie of Stoney Creek is facing the following alleged charge:
    •    Obstruct peace officer contrary S. 129(a).

Hypolite and Blackie were held in custody pending a video bail hearing on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
