Two from St. Catharines face trafficking charges in ongoing drug investigation

Since January of 2021, detectives with the 1 District (St. Catharines) Street Crime Unit, with the Niagara Regional Police Service, have been investigating the sales of illegal drugs in the City of St. Catharines.

As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify two males [allegedly] responsible for the sale of illegal drugs.

On Wednesday, Jan, 19, 2021, the two suspects were arrested.

Subsequently, detectives executed a search warrant in the area of Geneva Street and Scott Street in the City of St. Catharines. Detectives seized 32.87 grams of cocaine and $260 in Canadian currency believed to be the proceeds of their drug sales. In total, the amount of drugs seized is estimated to be at a street value of $4,109.

Jahmal Huggan-Loungs (28 years old) of St. Catharines, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:
    •    Possession of a schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000

Huggan-Loungs was held in custody and was released on a Form 10 - Undertaking with a future court date.

Lenroy D. Mundle (59 years old) of St. Catharines, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:
    •    Possession of a schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000

Mundle was held in custody and was released on a Form 10 - Undertaking with a future court date.
