Two from Brampton face break and enter charges

Duo are suspected in series of commercial break and enters in Niagara Falls

Since May of 2020, The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) have been investigating a series of commercial break and enters that occurred in the City of Niagara Falls, involving two male suspects.

The investigation led by detectives from the 2 District – Niagara Falls Street Crime Unit, revealed that the break and enters took place at three separate commercial units, in the area of Oakwood Drive and Mcleod Road.

On June 18, 2020, the detectives were notified that one of the suspects was arrested by the Peel Regional Police Service, for an unrelated matter.

Rolando Magadia (36 years old) of Brampton, Ontario, was arrested and charged with the alleged Criminal Code of Canada offences of:

  • Break and Enter Commit Theft Section 348(1)(b)CC (3 Counts)
  • Possession of Break and Enter Instruments Section 351(1)CC

Further investigation revealed that, Robinson Matias (31 years old) of Brampton, Ontario, was the outstanding suspect. Matias was arrested, in the City of Brampton, and charged with the alleged Criminal Code of Canada offences of:

  • Break and Enter Commit Theft Section 348(1)(b)CC (3 Counts)

Magadia and Matias were released on a Form 10 Undertaking. They are both expected to appear at court, on Aug. 17, 2020, at the Robert S.K. Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines.
