Three suspects sought in Niagara Falls armed robbery attempt (3 photos)

Detectives from the 2 District Niagara Falls office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are investigating a Feb. 5, 2020, attempted residential robbery that involved a firearm.

The investigation has revealed that on Feb. 5, 2020 at approximately 2 a.m., three male suspects attended a residence in the area of Hanan Avenue and North Street in the City of Niagara Falls. The males attempted to pry open the front door, waking up the homeowners. The suspects fled the area in a dark coloured four-door vehicle last observed northbound on Hanan Avenue.

In review of closed circuit footage one of the suspects could be seen carrying what is believed to be a handgun.

The suspects are described as:

    •    Suspect 1 - male, black, approximately 6'0, 20-30 years of age, medium build, black pointed goatee, wearing an Adidas hoodie, carrying a crow bar
    •    Suspect 2 - male, approximately 5'9, medium build, hooded sweater, carrying a black handgun
    •    Suspect 3 - male, approximately 5'9, medium build wearing a hooded jacket and scarf

This does not appear to be a random incident.
