Thorold man wanted on 12 fraud, theft charges

Detectives say they have identified at least 12 victims

In June of 2019, the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), Central Fraud Unit commenced an investigation involving several frauds taking place in the Niagara Region.

Detectives determined that the offences involved a man accepting construction jobs and subsequently taking money for services that he would never provide. 

As a result of the continued investigation, the NRPS is looking for the public’s help in locating the suspect.

Brody J. Racine, 39 years of age, of Thorold, is wanted for the alleged offences of:  

  • Fraud over $5,000 (Eight counts) 
  • Fraud under $5,000 (Three counts)  
  • Theft under $5,000

Detectives have identified at least 12 victims, as a result of their ongoing investigation.

Racine is aware that he is wanted by the NRPS. Racine is also wanted in the City of Hamilton and the City of Brantford. Racine has ties to Thorold, Halton, London, Huntsville and Toronto. His current location is unknown. Racine has access to multiple vehicles.

Racine is described as:  

  • White male  
  • Short Dark Hair 
  • 6’1  
  • 220lbs

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives believe there are more victims.

Members of the public may be eligible for a cash reward by contacting Crime Stoppers of Niagara and providing anonymous information that leads to Racine's arrest.
