Stolen ATV recovered following trespassing complaint

On Tuesday May 19, 2020, at approximately 11 a.m. , the Niagara Regional Police responded to a building in the area of King Street and Minto Street, in the City of Port Colborne, regarding a trespassing complaint.

Six District – Port Colborne Uniform, received a complaint of an ATV parked on the property. The operator of the ATV, was believed to be trespassing. Upon arrival, officers discovered the male had entered an unknown apartment within the building.

Investigations into the ATV revealed it had been reported stolen to the Niagara Regional Police Service in April of 2020. As a result of the investigation, officers determined the identity of the unknown male operating the ATV.

Jeffrey Ring (40 years old) of Port Colborne, is charged with the alleged Criminal Code of Canada offence of:  

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Section 355(b)

Ring was released on an Undertaking and will appear at the Welland Court House, located at 102 East Main Street, in the City of Welland, at a later date.
