St. Catharines sub shop robbed at gunpoint

Shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019 uniformed members of the Niagara Regional Police in the city of St. Catharines attended a local sub shop on St. Paul Street West in response to a robbery call. 

Upon arrival and subsequent investigation by members of One District C.I.B. police determined the following. 

A lone male suspect entered the business and immediately brandished a firearm and approached the store's employee who was in the process of closing up for the evening. The suspect demanded cash from the employee who turned over the evenings proceeds.

The male then fled the store last seen eastbound on St. Paul Street towards downtown St. Catharines. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and no one was injured during the robbery.

  • grey hooded sweat shirt
  • black pants with black and white belt
  • black and white shoes
  • red bandana
  • black and white gloves
