St. Catharines man faces child pornography charges

The charge comes after five months of investigation into child exploitation material

In October of 2019, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit commenced an investigation into the sexual exploitation of children.

The investigation into the child exploitation material led to a St. Catharines resident. In February of 2020, members assigned to the Niagara Regional Police Service's I.C.E. Unit, concluded their investigation, which resulted in the identification of a suspect.

As a result of the investigation, on Feb. 26, 2020, 28-year-old Ryann Large of St Catharines was arrested and is facing the following alleged charge:

  • Possession of child pornography Sec. 163.1(4)CC

Large is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Thursday Februay 27, 2020 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
