St. Catharines assault leaves woman with life-threatening injuries

1 District (St. Catharines) Uniform officers were called to a residence in the area of Seneca and Vine Streets in the City of St. Catharines at approximately 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday Dec. 26, 2018.

When officers arrived they discovered a female outside of her residence, with injuries following an attack.

The female was airlifted to an out-of-area hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries.

The male suspect fled the scene in a stolen 2009 red Mitsubishi Lancer, with Ontario licence marker CFXT693. The suspect has been identified as 44-year-old Marlon Kinsale, described as a black male, 5' 7", weighing 165lbs with a slim build. 

He was last seen driving on Queenston Street heading towards Geneva Street.

Kinsale is wanted at this time for a charge of attempted murder.  It is believe that this was a targeted attack.  Kinsale is potentially armed, and should not be approached.  If he is seen by a member of the public, they are asked to call 911 immediately.
