Single-vehicle collision in Fort Erie causes life-threatening injuries

On Friday, April 12th, 2019 at approximately 2:43 p.m., the Niagara Regional Police Service, the Niagara Emergency Medical Services and the Fort Erie Fire Department responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision in front of 450 Garrison Road in the Town of Fort Erie, within the Regional Municipality of Niagara, Ontario.

Initial investigation revealed that a 2004 Toyota was being driven eastbound on Garrison Road by a 66-year-old Port Colborne female. This driver lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and struck two utility poles in front of #450 Garrison Road.
 
The driver suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital before being flown to an out of region hospital in life threating condition.
 
This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
