The NRPS is continuing to look for local wanted man Kenneth William Hunter.

On Jan. 2, 2019, Hunter was involved in an incident in Niagara Falls where a Niagara Regional Police (NRP) officer and their police vehicle were purposely struck by a vehicle that is believed to have been operated by Hunter.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene, leading assisting officers on a short pursuit. Officers then terminated the pursuit out of a concern for public safety.

Investigating officers believe that Hunter is being provided sanctuary in order to evade his arrest. Persons assisting Hunter to evade police should be aware that they may be placing themselves in a position of criminal jeopardy.

Anyone having knowledge of Hunter's current location is asked to call the NRP or Crime Stoppers of Niagara. By calling Crime Stoppers, the tipster may be subject to a cash reward.

Persons who may be in contact with Hunter should encourage him to contact legal counsel and arrange for his safe and peaceful surrender.
