Police seize $4K worth of suspected crystal meth, fentanyl during St. Catharines drug bust

Since the spring of 2020, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), 1 District (St. Catharines) Street Crime Unit, have been conducting an investigation into the sales of illegal drugs, from a male suspect from a residence in the area of Josephine Street and Pelham Road, in the City St. Catharines.

As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the male suspect.

On Nov. 17, 2020, detectives executed a warrant in the City of St. Catharines. As a result, a male suspect and a female suspect were arrested.

Subsequently, detectives seized 29.1 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 4.4 grams of fentanyl (green and purple), and $325 in Canadian currency. The total street value of drugs is estimated to be $4000.

Piotr S. Zawadzki (32 years old), of St. Catharines, was arrested and charged with the following offence of:  

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking  
  • Break, enter and commit

Zawadzki was held in custody pending a bail hearing that is expected to take place on Nov. 18, 2020 at the Robert S.K Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines.

Victoria A. Warriner (27 years old) of St. Catharines, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:  

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking  
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

Warriner was released on a Form 10 – undertaking and is expected to appear at court on Jan. 28, 2021, at the Robert S.K Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines.
