Police make arrest in rash of vehicle thefts in Dain City, Welland

In addition to stolen property charges, the accused is also charged with possession of cocaine and crystal methamphetamine

In June of 2019, Detectives with 3 District (Welland) Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) commenced an investigation into the recent rash of theft from vehicles and property damage occurring within Dain City and the east side of Welland. 

As a result of that investigation 26-year-old, Welland resident, Brandon Jerry Seguin, was arrested on June 30, 2019.  He has been charged with the alleged offences of:

  • Possession of stolen property x9
  • Mischief 
  • Fraudulent use of credit card
  • Fail to comply with recognizance x3
  • Possession of a schedule I substance - Crystal methamphetamine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance - Cocaine

Seguin was sent to a bail hearing and held in custody.  His next court date is July 11, 2019 at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
