No injuries reported in what police believe is a targeted shooting

*****************************
At approximately 12:05 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara on the Lake) uniform officers were called to the area of Kenmir Avenue and Tanbark Road in the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake following the report of gunshots.

A subsequent investigation by detectives with the 2 District Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) has revealed that an unidentified male fired at least four shots into a residence before fleeing the area.

The male was a rear passenger of an older, possibly early 2000s, four-door silver Volkswagen Golf. The car had a light blue patch on the front passenger door and the front silver rims are different than the rear silver rims.

The vehicle was observed in the area several hours prior to the shooting. While there were no injuries, detectives believe this was a targeted event.

Detectives are asking anyone with information in relation to this incident, or who may have dash cam or video surveillance footage, to contact police (905) 688-4111, dial option 3, Badge #9361.
