Police identify suspects in St. Catharines altercation

Further investigation by detectives has resulted in the arrest of two males involved in this incident as well as a robbery at the downtown St. Catharines bus terminal later that morning.

18-year-old Triztin Stevens of the City of St. Catharines is facing the following alleged charges:

  • Robbery (firearm) contrary to section 344(1)(a.1) of the Criminal Code
  • Assault with a Weapon contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code
  • Robbery contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (2020-12496)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code]

A 17-year-old male is facing the following alleged charges:

  • Robbery with a Firearm contrary to section 344(1)(a.1) of the Criminal Code
  • Uttering Threats contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
  • Robbery contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to section 92(1) of the Criminal Code.
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code

The 17-year-old male cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Both males were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020.
