Police appeal to public for information on an assault in St. Catharines

Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureau in St. Catharines are asking for assistance from the public, pertaining to an assault that occurred during a St. Patrick's Day celebration on Monday, March 18, 2019 inside Twelve Mile Lounge located at 1 St. Paul St. in the City of St. Catharines.

Investigators believe that a physical altercation occurred inside the establishment in the lower level of the bar, close to the stage sometime just before 1 a.m. Security became involved and all parties were escorted out of the establishment. The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital for medical treatment and later released.  

The suspect in this matter is described as a white male in his mid to late 20s with a short buzzed haircut and a scruffy beard. He is approximately 6'1" tall and approximately 255 lbs. He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
