Police appeal for help to identify robbery suspect

On Dec. 15, 2018, at approximately 10:26 a.m., 1 District uniform patrol officers responded to an assault call for service in the area of Page Street and Queenston Street in St. Catharines.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a female victim had been assaulted by an unknown male suspect resulting in minor injuries not requiring medical attention. During this interaction, the victim had personal property stolen, as well. 

This investigation is being continued by members of the St. Catharines Detective Office. Video surveillance has identified the perpetrator as having the following description:  male/black, approximately 20 years, black baseball cap (with yellow logo), red sweater (black sleeves), grey jogging pants and white shoes. The identity of this suspect remains unknown, however, this incident was not a random act of violence.

Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance with identifying this suspect. Please see the attached suspect photograph.
