OPP investigation leads to fraud charges for Niagara Falls resident

On Sept. 18, 2019 the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit received a fraud report that occurred at a business on Wellington Road 19 in the Township of Centre Wellington.

Police investigation revealed that the fraud occurred over a period of several months in 2019.

As a result Michael Kennedy, 42 years old of Niagara Falls has been charged with Fraud Over $5000 X2, Falsification Books and Documents - Fraudulent Intent and Use, Acts, Deals on Forged Document contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on July 28, 2020 to answer to the charges.
