One arrested in Niagara Falls gas bar robbery

On Jan. 5, 2019 at approximately 10:30 p.m. Niagara Regional Police Service Uniform Patrol Officers from #2 District were called to a gas bar located in the area of Dorchester Road and Lundy's Lane in the City of Niagara Falls for a robbery which had just occurred.

Officers, including those from the K9 unit and Emergency Task Unit, flooded the area in an effort to locate the suspect but were not successful.

The investigation determined the gas bar attendant was working in the kiosk when a lone male entered brandishing a weapon and demanding cash. The suspect fled the kiosk on foot after obtaining an undisclosed amount of currency. The attendant was not injured.

The suspect was last seen running from the scene in a westbound direction on Lundy's Lane.

#2 District detectives have identified the suspect as Scottie Polyblank - 31 years of age. 

On Jan. 6, 2019 Polyblank was arrested by the Niagara Regional Police Service and will be charged with 1 X robbery. Polyblank will be held for a bail hearing to be held on Jan. 7, 2019 at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines.
