Nuisance graffiti tagger arrested in St. Catharines

Since January, Niagara Regional Police 1 District – St. Catharines detectives have been investigating instances where the graffiti tag "SLUB" was spray painted on buildings and other properties in the City of St. Catharines. Detectives identified 15 locations with the tag.

As a result of the investigation on April 23, 2020, detectives arrested a local man. Jermaine Khalil Griffith (23 years) of St. Catharines has been arrested and charged with the alleged Criminal Code of Canada offences of:
    •    Mischief over $5,000 (global count)
    •    Mischief under $5,000 (two counts)

Detectives determined the offences happened between October 2018 and January of 2020.

Griffith was released from custody on a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date of June 26, 2020 at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
