Niagara Region driver charged after vehicle hits building, rolls over

KINCARDINE - Both the driver and passenger were found with non life-threatening injuries after the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle rollover at an address along Lake Street in the Municipality of Kincardine. Members of Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services along with Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were also called to the scene.

The South Bruce OPP received a call reporting the crash at 5:19 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2021. Officers arrived to find that the vehicle left the roadway and collided with an outbuilding on private property before coming to rest on its roof.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher Claus, 32 years old of Niagara Region, was charged with possess a controlled substance, careless driving and drive with no insurance. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on March 10, 2021 to answer to the charges.

Both parties were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
