Niagara Falls teen suffers fatal injuries after being thrown from ATV

On Saturday, May 23, 2020 at approximately 5:04 p.m., emergency personal responded to the area of Crowland Avenue and Ridge Road in the City of Niagara Falls for a report of an ATV accident.

2 District - Niagara Falls officers arrived on scene to find an 18-year-old female from Niagara Falls and a 17-year-old female from Niagara Falls had been thrown from an ATV. The females were both in critical condition.

Niagara EMS paramedics treated and transported both females to a local hospital. The 18-year-old has died in the hospital. The 17-year-old remains in critical condition.

The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation by detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, the Forensic Service Unit, the Traffic Enforcement Unit and the office of the Coroner.
