Niagara Falls man charged with impaired driving in Bradford

Police say he had nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system

BRADFORD - A 29-year-old Niagara Falls man had his licence suspended for 90 days after being charged with impaired driving and over 80.

On Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 around 1 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers received two reports regarding a vehicle with a damaged wheel that was driving erratically in the area of County Road 88 and Highway 400 in Bradford. Police located the vehicle in a driveway and officers detected an odour of alcohol when speaking to the driver.

After a fail was registered on a roadside screening device, the driver was arrested and transported to South Division. Further testing resulted in readings of nearly twice the legal limit.

A 29-year-old Niagara Falls man was charged with impaired driving and over 80. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. He was released with a December court date.
