Niagara Falls man, 52, killed in hit and run after being thrown from e-bike

At approximately 11:38 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020, 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers were called to the area of Drummond Rd and Dunn St in the City of Niagara Falls following the report of a collision. 

Investigation has revealed that a 52-year-old male was driving an e-bike when he lost control and was thrown from the bike before being struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and left the scene.

The male was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

This collision remains under investigation by the Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Service’s Collision Reconstruction Unit.  Police are requesting that anyone with video cameras facing Drummond Road in the area of the collision review their footage and that anyone with information regarding this collision contact police at (905) 688-4111, dial option 3, Badge # 9265.
