Motorcycle rider suffers life-threatening injuries in Smithville crash

On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at approximately 2:15 p.m., 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln) uniform officers attended the area of St. Catharines Street and Industrial Park Road in the Town of Smithville for a serious single motorcycle collision.

Investigation revealed an adult male lost control of his motorcycle. Niagara Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and transported the male to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

Detectives with the Reconstruction Collision Unit have taken carriage of the investigation.   

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009206.
