Update 1 – October 23, 2020

The theft investigation has been ongoing by detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service 2 District detective office. Detectives have been able to identify a suspect and an arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Daniel Patrick Rees (44 years old) of Cambridge Ontario is wanted for the offences of:

  • Theft Under $5000
  • Fail to Comply with a Probation Order

Rees is described as:

  • White
  • 5'10 feet tall
  • Medium build at approximately 180lbs.
  • Brown hair
  • Blue eyes
  • Tattoos
    • Right upper arm – Image of a dragon
    • Right side of neck – Word "Destiny"

Rees has significant ties to Waterloo and Cambridge. His current location is unknown.

As a result of the investigation, the three guitars have been located and are in the possession of the police.

Original Release – October 22, 2020

On October 20th, 2020, 2 District (Niagara Falls) Uniform Officers, with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), attended the Hard Rock Café, located at 5705 Falls Avenue, in the City of Niagara Falls, in regards to a theft.

Investigation revealed that a male suspect had entered the Hard Rock Café, on October 18th and stole 3 guitars.

The suspect is described as being:

  • White
  • Male
  • 30-40 years old
  • Medium build
  • Facial hair

Clothing Description:

  • Black and white baseball cap
  • Black hoodie with white logo of a kangaroo on the front
  • Black shorts
  • Black and white Nike running shoes
