On Saturday Dec. 22, 2018 at approximately 2:40 a.m., a 26-year-old male attended the St. Catharines hospital with injuries consistent with being assaulted with some kind of edged weapon.

Investigation revealed the victim was in the area of Niagara Street and Church Street when he was confronted by an unknown male. The two engaged in a physical altercation which ultimately resulted in the victim suffering injuries to his face, chest and leg. He received medical treatment and was later released from the hospital.

The only description of the suspect is a 6'0" white male wearing dark clothing.
