Lincoln resident accused of harassing neighbours for more than a decade

55-year-old faces eight counts of criminal harassment

In December of 2020, 8 District (Grimsby) uniform officers, with the Niagara Regional Police Service, began an investigation involving a male allegedly harassing his neighbours in the area of Maple Grove Road and Lakeshore in the Town of Lincoln.

Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives discovered the suspect's [alleged] harassing behaviour dated back to 2010. A number of the incidents occurred overnight.

On Feb. 24, 2021 at approximately 4:37 a.m., the suspect was arrested by 8 District (Grimsby) uniform officers with the assistance of the K9 Unit.

Ivan Zatelli (55 years old) of Lincoln, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:
    •    Criminal harassment (eight counts) - section 264(2)(d) of Criminal Code of Canada
    •    No muffler on motor vehicle - section 75(1) of Highway Traffic Act
    •    Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle - section 7(5)(a) of Highway Traffic Act
    •    Fail to surrender insurance card - section 3(1) Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
    •    Unnecessary noise - section 75(4) of Highway Traffic Act
    •    No mirror - section 66(1) of Highway Traffic Act

Zatelli was held in custody pending a bail hearing that took place on Feb. 24, 2021.
