Update – May 28, 2020

On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, Niagara Regional Police were advised that a member of the public had located $500-$1000, on the street, in the area of Collier Road South and Confederation Avenue, in the City of Thorold.

On Thursday, May 28, 2020, the owner of the money came forward and the money was returned.

Original Release – Wednesday, May 27, 2020

On Tuesday, May 26th, 2020, at approximately 5:30 p.m., 1 District, St. Catharines Uniform officers responded to a found property call at 68 Church St., in the City of St. Catharines.

A member of the public attended the 1 District office, to report that at 5:15 p.m., he had located $500-$1000 in the area of Collier Road South and Confederation Avenue, in the City of Thorold.

The money was located on the street.

Police are looking to identify the owner. Any member of the public who believes the money to be theirs will be required to provide information that will allow officers to confirm ownership.
