Fort Erie collision claims life of 54-year-old woman

On Thursday April 25, 2019 at approximately 8 a.m., a two vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Bowen Road and Sunset Drive in the Town of Fort Erie.

Niagara Regional Police Uniform Branch, Fort Erie Fire Department, and Niagara EMS responded to the collision. The investigation was then turned over to the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
 
The collision occurred between a 2012 Honda Fit and a 2005 Toyota Corolla. The driver of the Honda, a 54-year-old female was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, an 18-year-old male was transported to the Greater Niagara General Hospital where he was treated medically and released. 
 
This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact investigators at (905) 688-4111, extension 5500.
