Charges have been laid following an investigation by detectives with the 3 District (Welland) Street Crime Unit in relation to the illegal sale of fentanyl from a residence in the King Street and Albert Street area of the City of Welland.

On May 11, 2020, a Welland man was arrested and charged.

During a search, a quantity of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and cocaine with a street value exceeding $14,000, along with various drug trafficking paraphernalia and a quantity of currency.

Fifty-six-year-old Craig Goss is facing the following alleged charges:
    •    Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
    •    Possession for the purpose of trafficking crystal methamphetamine
    •    Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
    •    Possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000
    •    Breach of probation

Goss was released from custody with a future court date in relation to the charges.
