Peter passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on April 15, 2024, two days short of his 82nd birthday. Devoted husband and soulmate to Sonja (nee Anker) for over 56 years. Loving father of Kelly (Tracy), Michelle. He will be forever remembered by his grandchildren, Ryan, Abby and Katelynn Singer, Heidi and Joshua Holmes.
Peter was a devoted family man and lover of life's simple pleasures. Born in The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada. Peter loved the outdoors. Whether he was camping under the stars, tending to his garden, or simply sitting on his porch, he found solace and contentment in the beauty of nature. Peter was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with those he held dear. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a kind, gentle soul who touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity.
In honouring Peter’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Russell Avenue Community Centre, 108 Russell Ave., St. Catharines, ON, on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
Memorial donations to the Humane Society of Greater Niagara (formerly Lincoln County Humane Society) would be appreciated.
