JACKSON, PETER STANLEY
1923 ~ 2024
“Tell me that you love me tonight”
Proud British Army Veteran serving in World War II

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Peter, on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in his 101st year. Beloved husband of the late Eva (née Cummings) (2015). Proud Dad of Dawn Cook (Shane Proulx), Susan (Mario) Spiewak, Anna (Nelson) Lacroix and predeceased by his son Paul in 1979. Peter cherished his grandchildren Jacqueline, Rachel, Garrett and Shawn (Dani) and his great grandchildren Kyle, Carson, Ayden, Kalan, Keegan and Jackson. Peter will be fondly remembered by his extended family. Growing up in Northam, England, Peter was the last survivor of his 13 siblings. He met the love of his life, Eva, married and immigrated to Canada in 1949. Dad worked for many years as a bricklayer and mason, while raising his four children. Dad had many interests and talents, such as Tai Chi and Yoga, and was a huge hockey fan, but his passion for singing is what he will be best remembered for. Peter touched so many people with his beautiful tenor voice and he was a long-time member of the Thorold Chorus. He could be heard singing in his backyard while gardening, and even in shopping malls. He felt he was making people happy and it gave him great pleasure. On any occasion, you could count on him to belt out a few and, boy, he sure could! He will leave a lasting mark on the lives of those he touched. Visitors will be received on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Lamb Chapel of the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.Bocchinfusofh.com. Thank you to the excellent staff at Linhaven for the wonderful care they took of Dad.
