Surrounded by the love of her family along with the love of her life, Carmine, by her side, on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 we lost the most beautiful person in our lives.

Wonderful, caring mother of Rose, Luisa and Michael Butters, Silvana, Anthony and Sherry (nee Teggart). Adoring Nonna to ten grandchildren who will all miss her dearly: Nick and Montanna, Andrew and Taylor, Jordan and Victoria Alaimo; Matthew and Nikki, Krista, Marcus Butters; Melissa Coons; Alisa, Anthony, Adam DiFruscia. Bis Nonna to Sienna, Ari, Bradley and Lucas Alaimo; Boston and Lily Butters; Aiden and Olivia Hill. Dearest baby sister to Natalina (the late Domenic) Dimeo, Sam and Rose Addario, Mike Addario and Linda Firth. Predeceased by her sisters Angela, Stella, Elena, Palma all of Italy, and Pasquale and Adriana; Antonio and Angela of Welland. Sister-in-law to Concetta (the late Gaetano) Marandola, Domenic and Maria DiFruscia, Maria Marcone (the late Giuseppe). Predeceased by Mario and Maria Carmela DiFruscia, Rocco DiFruscia, Carmela and Achille Ciaraldi of Thorold and Giovanni and Margarita DiFruscia of Italy. Her heart was filled with love for all of her many nieces and nephews.

Our Mother was born in San Giorgio Morgeto Province, Reggio Calabria, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1954. She was a loving, caring mother, who loved her garden, cooking for everyone, and found great joy in being surrounded by her grandbabies.

Relatives and friends will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00- 9:00 PM. Vigil prayers will be recited at 7:30 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY CHURCH 21 Queen Street, Thorold on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10:30 AM. Rite of committal Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.

If desired donations in Anna's memory may be made to the Niagara Health Foundation or the Walker Family Cancer Centre. 

Anna's Family wishes to thank LIHN, Nurses Next Door, all the personal caregivers who cared for Mom and were part of her life, the Doctors and staff at Niagara Health St. Catharines site in the E.R., the PCU, and on floors 3A and 3B.
