Canadian Julia (The Jewel) Budd to defend Bellator featherweight title in July

Canadian Julia (The Jewel) Budd will defend her Bellator featherweight title against undefeated Israeli Olga Rubin on July 12 in Thackerville, Okla.

The main event fight will take place at the WinStar World Casino and Resort.

The 35-year-old from Port Moody, B.C., will be making her third title defence since winning the 145-pound crown by beating Dutch veteran Marloes Coenen at Bellator 174 in March 2017.

Budd (12-2-0) subsequently defeated Arlene Blencowe and Talita Nogueira, running her win streak to 10. She has not lost since being submitted by (Rowdy) Ronda Rousey in Strikeforce in November 2011.

Rubin (6-0-0) will be making her fifth appearance since signing with Bellator in 2017.
