Thorold Minor Baseball has announced its early-bird registration for the 2020 baseball season. Players who register during the “early-bird” period will save $25 off their 2020 registration fees. Thorold Minor Baseball will be using its new, updated and revamped registration system which accepts payment by secure online credit card transactions.

Registration can also be completed by using a personal cheque.

“It is our hope that by opening registration earlier and going fully online will help us grow our registration numbers and make it easier for families to access our information. The new site has been great thus far, and those that have taken the time to look around have told us that it is such a welcome and needed improvement,” commented Chris Green, president of Thorold Minor Baseball.

Thorold Minor Baseball will also be hosting FREE in-gym winter practices starting on Jan. 11, 2020.

“We are really looking forward to getting back in to the gym with the kids and helping them fall in the love with the great game of baseball," said Green. "We will be tailoring each session to meet the needs of the level and age of our players. We hope that families will see this as an opportunity to have their players get active in the winter, develop their skills, reconnect with summer friends, or try baseball for the first time, all at no financial cost.”

The sessions are open to any interested un-registered or registered players between the ages of four and 13. Sessions will be run by past coaches and volunteers of Thorold Baseball and will run each Saturday until Feb. 29, 2020 at Monsignor Clancy School on Collier Road in Thorold.

There will be three (3) sessions run each Saturday, starting on Jan. 11, 2020:

-    2 to 3 p.m. (2015-2017 birth year)

-    3 to 4 pm.. (2011-2014 birth year)

-    4 to 5 p.m. (2007-2010 birth year)

Thorold Legion Minor Baseball offers youth House League and “Select” level baseball for the community of Thorold.

The organization has divisions and offerings for players aged four to 18 and is managed and run by volunteers. Thorold Legion Minor Baseball had more than 120 players registered and is hoping to see that number grow year after year.
