The Thorold Jr. B Blackhawks thumped the visiting Welland Canadians by a 7-2 score on Thursday night.

The Hawks were led by Owen Allan, who had a six-point night including one goal and five assists.

Thorold ended the first period with a 3-0 lead on goals by Dylan Latty, Allan and Darcy Redwood. Brendan Charlton and Allan had two assists each in the frame.

In the second period, Thorold scored two more with goals from Charlton and Nicholas Rubino before Welland got on the board on a power play goal from Matt Baumann.

In the third period, Nick Gidney and Charlton scored with the Canadians’ Cody Wall getting one in between. Anthony Tremonte stopped 28 of 30 shots for the win in the Thorold goal.
