Twelve teams descended upon Thorold last night to begin the Ontario Baseball Association "C" Championships at McMillan Park.
The tournament is being hosted by The Thorold Community Credit Union Anchors.
The Anchors began their tournament Friday night against the Simcoe Giants, who eliminated them last year.
Unfortunately for the home team, it was all Simcoe last night as they hammered the Anchors by a 14-3 score.
The tournament continues today and tomorrow at McMillan Park as well as at Burgar Park in Welland and Oakes Park in Niagara Falls.
