It was a close one at McMillan Park last night as the Thorold Anchors hosted the Niagara Falls Expos in seniors baseball.

The game was knotted at two headed into the final inning but the Expos rallied to score a 6-2 win.

Jake Maxwell, Russ Mckeown and Nich Schwab each had two hits for Thorold but it wasn't enough as the Expos won on just seven hits. Justin Vescio-West took the loss on the mound, allowing five runs on five hits over six innings.

The Anchors go again tonight at McMillan Park with game time at 7:30.

The team is supporting Community Care this year and is asking for non-perishable food donations. Entry is free.
