The Thorold Canadian Corps peewee BB team had a busy and successful weekend.

Three games in as many days saw the team battle to ties with the Fort Erie Meteors and the Lincoln Blades. They also took a win over Port Colborne.

Facing Fort Erie, a goal by Kolten Battise and a solid goaltending effort by Even Trochta resulted in a 1-1 game.

Next, the team travelled to Port Colborne and scored a 4-3 win. Jack Drummond had 2 goals while Gavin Sawatsky and Luca Moretta each scored one. Josh Giammattolo picked up 2 assists and goalie Adam Thibault backstopped the team to the win.

On Monday, the team travelled to Lincoln to face the Blades. Drummond and Battiste each scored for Thorold and Trochta, once again, turned in a solid performance in goal as the teams skated to a 2-2 draw.

Picking up 4 of a possible 6 points, the team finished the regular season on a high note.

Next, the Canadian Corps team will begin preliminary play in the OMHA play downs, this weekend, Feb. 1-3, in Port Colborne.
