The Thorold Sr. Rookie Athletic ball team advanced to the playoff finals over the weekend.
In a tournament style playoff the Athletics advanced through the quarter and semi-finals only to lose 8-5 to the Port Colborne Mariners.
Coach Chris Green was proud of the team, and told the Thorold News, "They had a tremendous season and represented Thorold Minor Baseball well."
