As they do every year, the CAA held its Worst Roads campaign again this year and the results are finally out.

Broken down by region, Thorold made the list for Niagara region.

Ranked third out of the five worst roads is St. David's Road in Thorold.

The list is compiled based on public voting, naming and shaming roads for anything from potholes and deteriorating pavement, to poor or non-existent cycling or walking infrastructure and poor road signs.

Niagara's first ranking road is McLeod Road in Niagara Falls, followed by Drummond Road, also in Niagara Falls.

Ranked fourth is Portage Road in Niagara Falls, and just making the list is Sider Road in Fort Erie.

Eglinton Avenue East in Toronto was voted the worst road in Ontario.

CAA says the 16-year-old campaign has helped improve Ontario's worst roads by drawing attention to the bumpiest rides, encouraging municipalities to pay attention to those roads people vote for.
