Thorold-raised author and communication consultant, Marion Grobb Finkelstein, believes the pain of life challenges doesn’t have to last forever.

Grobb attended Thorold Secondary School, Brock University, and Niagara College, and was drawn back to her Niagara roots after serving as director of communications for several federal institutions for three decades. Now a workplace communication consultant, who’s survived broken dreams, health issues, and bully bosses, Grobb is no stranger to adversity and shares surefire ways to reclaim enthusiasm, confidence, and the ability to move forward.

In her newly released book, The Finkelstein Factor: What to do when things go wrong … because you know they will (sigh), Grobb guides readers through a series of practical steps to shift their mindset, flip negative events into positive outcomes, and then let go. Based on her trademarked approaches honed through decades of workshops and keynotes presented nationwide, this book distills her most popular and practical strategies for coping with adversity and building resiliency.

A communications expert certified in personality assessments, she has managed communications at national museums, international airports, and federal institutions, and currently offers workshops, keynotes, coaching and consulting to organizations and individuals wanting to improve their ability to communicate and build healthy and productive workplace cultures.

The Finklestein Factor: What to do when things go wrong … because you know they will (sigh) marks her first independently published book.

It will be launched on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Loft 123 Event Venue, 123 Queenston St. in St. Catharines. This book launch event will feature a mini-keynote as Grobb presents her three-step process, offers relatable real-life stories, and offers several excerpt readings. The presentation and readings are followed by Q&A, book signing, and networking.

Tickets cost $5 for early bird tickets; $10 for regular.

Limited admission tickets are available online here.

Attendees may pre-order copies of the book for pick-up at the launch.
