The Legion is ready for a new rock and roll year

Shows are part of an ongoing effort to bring fresh activities and support to the local chapter of the Canadian Legion.

It's back to business at the Thorold Legion Branch #17 as Friday night entertainment returned last night after the Christmas break.

It was local favourites, the Stickman band taking the stage. The band features classic rock with a twist - throwing in a lot of "B" sides and forgotten tracks from classic bands like Led Zeppelin, Goddo, Neil Young, Ted Nugent, Black Sabbath and many others.

There are no Friday bands over the next two weeks but Figure Four & the Rye It will be the entertainment on Saturday, Jan. 19.

Then on Friday Jan. 25 It's This Time Around. Both shows begin at 9 p.m.

The Legion hosts shows most Friday evenings except long weekends. Shows are 19+ and everyone is welcome. There is no cover charge.

This and other entertainment notices are posted on the Thorold News Events Calendar.
