Attention bargain shoppers:  A front-load washing machine, designer handbags, and bicycles can be bought at extreme savings this Saturday.

From Port Robinson to Thorold South to Confederation Heights to downtown Thorold, the annual City-Wide Community Garage Sale kicks off bright and early—around 8 a.m. at most addresses—and continues offering great discounts and deals throughout the day on Sept. 14.

Close to 50 host homes have already registered, with owners advertising everything from tools and reno materials to computer equipment to canning supplies, ideal for this time of year.

As always, there are several homes offering vintage, adults' and children's clothing, household goods, home décor, and collectibles, along with toys, appliances, and even Girl Guide cookies.

As they do each year, the residents at 69 Pine St. North are co-hosting a “very large mutli-family sale, with a sneak peek” sale starting on Friday, Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Anyone who is hosting a garage sale in the city-wide event has until noon this Friday, Sept. 13 to enter their address and sale goods on the city’s website list, by visiting this website.

Hosts are encouraged to do so, to entice more shoppers to hunt for treasures at their homes.

To see a list of items that are available, and for added convenience when planning shopping routes, people interested in downloading a list of participating homes and sale sites can click on this website.
