Richmond Street School addition underway

Expansion is expected to take a full year

Construction is underway at Richmond Street School to add four new classrooms.

The District School Board of Niagara told the Thorold News the project is a $2.2 million dollar expansion using funding received from the Province. The work began in July and will take a full year to complete.

The school was built in 1961 and has undergone previous expansion including adding a gymnasium, library and additional classrooms.
