Special weather statement in effect for:
- Niagara Falls - Welland - Southern Niagara Region
- St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region
Snow and local blowing snow Tuesday morning with several hours of freezing rain possible Tuesday afternoon.
Precipitation will begin as snow and local blowing snow overnight. Snow is expected to change to ice pellets near noon with a mix of freezing rain possible in the afternoon. Snow and ice pellet amounts of 4 to 8 cm are expected.
Travel is likely to be affected.
Freezing rain warnings may be issued Tuesday as the event draws closer.
