A good deed by Ontario Provincial Police is getting the thumbs up on social media.
Burlington OPP responded to the top of the Burlington Skyway Bridge earlier today for a family of geese waddling along in a live lane.
A photo from the scene on 'X' (formerly Twitter) shows a police cruiser with its lights flashing not far from other motorists driving past the adult goose and its goslings.
With assistance from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, police hatched a plan and were able to safely escort the birds off the highway.
There were no collisions reported, police said.
Responses on social media included plenty of likes, shares and heart emojis, although a few warned of the dangers for regular motorists of stopping their car to help birds cross the road.
