Brock University closed due to inclement weather Tuesday

Brock University has closed all campuses in St. Catharines and Hamilton for Tuesday, Feb. 12 as another winter storm looks to dump a mix of heavy snow and freezing rain on the Niagara and Hamilton areas.

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning with four to eight centimetres of snow and ice pellets changing to freezing rain for much of the day. Winds of up to 70 km/h are also expected.

All daytime classes and activities planned for today have been cancelled.

The buildings are closed for the day and only essential services, such as dining for students in residences, will be provided.

School officials are monitoring the situation and will make an announcement regarding evening classes and activities by 3 p.m. at the latest.

Watch Brocku.ca for updates on when the regular schedule will resume.
